Look who's talkin' We first met Meghan at Forever Friends, where she was teaching the Basic Obedience class. My husband and I had just adopted our black lab Kash from a rescue. We were very lucky that he didn’t come with many serious behaviour issues, but we were first time dog owners and had a lot to learn. Kash had only lived with us for a few weeks before starting the Basic Obedience class, and he was so calm at home that we didn’t know how to deal with his acting out when we were in the class. Meghan was first a great help by simply teaching us about dog behaviour. She explained that Kash was not being aggressive, but that he was very easily excitable and she showed us several ways to help bring that excitement down to a manageable level. Kash made great gains at home but was still having trouble in the group class, so we decided to have some one-on-one sessions with Meghan. She helped us tackle all of our everyday problems in our own home environment. Meghan explained why Kash was behaving how he was, and how we could positively and successfully modify those behaviours. We are very happy to say that Kash no longer jumps on guests or paws at us for attention. He is able to remain calm and stay beside us on walks, and he even comes when called!! Training with Meghan was not only fun and informative, but it gave us the perfect opportunity to learn about our new dog and to form that loving bond with him that makes having Kash so great! Candice and Phil I first met Meghan through my veterinarians office. I had brought Lebron, my 9 month old chocolate lab in because he was becoming aggressive towards me and my husband. Lebron was jumping at our faces and he had started biting at my arms, never piercing the skin but leaving bruises. When I spoke with Meghan for the first time I was out of options, I thought we were going to have to get rid of my dog because his behavior was so bad. Meghan explained to me that she is a dog trainer and specializes in their behavior. She explained that she would come to our home and work with us in Lebron’s natural environment. She came over, got to witness first hand Lebron’s behavior and had showed us techniques to use on Lebron to change his behavior. I can honestly say that after practicing the techniques daily, Lebron no longer behaves aggressively. We have been able to return to a normal life with a normal energetic and loveable dog. Thank you Meghan for giving us our dog back. Jodie I I first met Meghan Scott at Forever Friends Training when Fido was doing his Basic Obedience course. He was shy around new people but seemed to be comfortable around Meghan. She gave us a business card and said she was doing some boarding. We went away a few times and asked friends to take care of Fido. He did not get along with their dog and so when we needed a place for him to go we call Meghan. Fido has been to Meghan’s several times. He has developed a bond with Meghan and thoroughly enjoys going to her place. He gets along well with her dogs and even the cats which is a surprise because he normally chases those! Fido is excited to see that it is Meghan picking him up, and though he does not want to leave his parents, he knows he will enjoy his time at Meghan’s. When I pick him up he is excited to see me but at the same time disappointed that he has to leave Meghan’s. He has a great time with Meghan and her animals, and always comes home happy and healthy. Meghan is great with dogs. She takes Fido for daily exercise and asks about his routines at home and tries her best to mimic those when he is with her. Meghan is very professional and has good rates. I would recommend her business to anyone looking to board a dog! Catherine Zekry Meghan was fantastic in helping me with my dog Pedro, who has behavioural problems. I could not get Pedro a chihuahua to go for a walk or to stop barking at any one coming to the house. Pedro was also afraid of any noises, but with Meghan's help she was able to see and understand these issues. Meghan is very knowledgable, very calm and gentle. She teaches owners what to do and what not to do, with one lession she got Pedro to walk! He is also no longer afraid of noises and is much calmer with strangers. Though he still barks at other dogs and some people when we walk, Meghan gave me the tools to correct this behaviour. Pedro is by far a lot better and will only continue to improve. Thank you Meghan. Jim and Pedro
